I was there! What a killer setlist dude!
Are they on Qualludes? Everything is painfully slow!!!
Nah bobby just got old
First
I would've loved to be there!! Awesome video 😉
Cool n groovy
Lots of smoking
Do you happen to have a full video of this transition/song from the 1st?
These shows are ridiculously emotive, ethereal and transcendent. One of the most unique experiences of my life. You almost needed the static graphics to take a break, but this song still slayed me....and Brokedown Palace <3
Sweet. But most of the show is on the floor. Circa ‘83+❤
Play it at 1.18 speed
Damn ❤
Hell yeah 👍
😟 ummm no
❤❤❤ I AM REAL GLAD THAT I GOT TO SEE THE GRATEFUL DEAD WHEN JERRY WAS ALIVE❤❤❤❤, LAS VEGAS IS ONE OF THOSE PLACES THAT I REFUSE TO GO TO ❤❤❤❤
Give her a break, Go Margo, u sang my favorite song!!!!❤
Never expected to see a Dead show for $200 plus for a ticket. At a no smoking venue yet!
They don't seem to be stopping folks from smoking ganja in there. :) $200 is a fair price for the Sphere, IMO.
Such a beautiful version !!!
this was the show highlight omg! go bobby!!!!!
Margo sounds like a small child screaming, find another artist to mimic not Janice..
why was there widespread panic in memphis ?
Omg, 😢😢😢😢😢😢❤
I went to this long-awaited show on October 14. I really wish someone had footage of that night. Still, yes, the first moments were absolutely spine-tingling and electric! Does anyone know the name of this first song BEFORE Zoo Station?
I really wonder why this wasn't done in the round instead though. It just seems like the venue BEGS for it.
It would cost the band next to nothing to have one well-positioned person take a "fan" video of each concert and post it online, plus a few crew members can take some photographs. No edits. No post production. Let the audience know before the show starts where they can get the video online and that any other video recording will get you kicked out. I went to a Jack White concert and before the show started there was an announcement that professional photography of the show would be posted online for free and that phones were only allowed during the first song and the last song, unless Jack said otherwise, and an entire arena full of people followed the rules. That was a terrific compromise.
It's not a bad idea. Jack White also took a little too far and actually took people's cell phones away! Which these days that's actually a bit of a safety issue ... because what if the parents have an issue with kids at home and the babysitter can't get a hold of them. I ultimately do agree there was way too many phones out for the U2 show. I think they can be forgiven considering that it is the very first night at a brand new experience.
I think a Pink Floyd concert (any album, but particularly 'The Wall") would be fantastic in this sphere....
Saw them during the ZooTV tour in 92 or 93 in Dallas when he called George Bush. Best concert. Then saw them for Pop Mart concert at the Cotton Bowl. Elevation concert was good as well at Jerry World (AT&T). Last concert I saw U2 at was IE tour in Madison Square Garden. What an atmosphere.
Hey! I'm going to create a multicam of the first night of U2 in The Sphere. I love your footage and I would love to use it! Can you send me the original video files? UA-cam doesn't allow email adres in the comments. Can I reach you on twitter or instagram?
My wife went to this on Monday and was totally blown away. U2 always put on a great show, though I think Bono is something of a tosser, just quietly. Looking forward to a concert in the Sphere one day.
He has asked people to bring out their phones at timed
Hoy no se sabe disfrutar de los conciertos, con los smartphone! 😔
Ik ben blij voor de Nederlands drummer Bram van den berg, dat hij mocht mee doen.
Looks like people are more focus on filming than enjoying the show
I believe that your comment makes an assumption that filming the show makes it less enjoyable for the person filming. I'm not sure that that assumption is correct in all situations. And as far as the number of people filming I agree it's a little redundant kind of like this 15th comment on this video talking about how many people are filming.
I held my iPhone high above my head while watching this at home and it felt like I was there. 🙅🏽♂️
I'm happy you were able to have that experience.
Bob Dylan has no phone clause at shows. He’s right. Who wants to pay for immersive experience then view on a 5 in screen?
Well that's certainly a point of view. It's important for all of us to have a POV. It's also important that we allow freedom and liberty. To your question it seems to me that either people disagree with your assertion that they are viewing it on a 5-inch screen or that they believe capturing some of the experience allows them to relive their experience later and therefore have a better and perhaps greater experience. I would also add that both the marketing department at the Sphere and the promotion team from U2 are likely quite happy that so many people took and posted videos to help them get their message out. I can certainly understand Bob Dylan's perspective, he might do well to remember that back when he decided to go electric that change in technology also wasn't received well. However he pushed forward because he knew that change was inevitable.
Little known fact: Bob Dylan instituted that policy to save himself the embarrassment of having to watch video of himself perform.
That's why i will never go to a show like that ..tits with phones held aloft ..🤬🤬🤬
Sounds like you made your decision.
I like looking at the ratio horizontal vs vertical video takers! All the vertical people will be so disappointed when they try to replay this scene on their big screen TV and see big black bars on the right and left and a little video in the middle.
Truf.
Meh. when the stage show outperforms the band..... I'll stay home. thanks anyway. Shit... even the band is caught distracted by the spectacle. fug that
It's true that the tech is still being figured out. Keeping the audience highly engaged with the content is a tough challenge for the art directors working on these shows.
You could put all the cel phones images into super high definition
Love that idea! Like in Dark Knight!
Astronomy telescopes have done it for decades
All those phones omg....ridiculous.
THEY DID A SHIT JOB OF ALL THERE MUSIC
I miss the zooropa Stage .. .the band looks a bit lost in the Sphere, but maybe oyu have be there to be amazed...
How embarrassing for any performer. To have most of your audience more interested in capturing a video for their friends rather than listening to your music.
It's wierd that so many are recording, if I saw that many recording at a concert I woul know that lots of them are going to post it on UA-cam (like this video) so I can watch that.
Turds
Woke Bono can suck it
Know why they’re called U2? ‘Cause when you’re at their concert the guy next to you says, “I can see that U2 have a phone.”
I’m so glad I was young in the 80s and went to concerts then. No one had a phone and few had cameras. I think that, in reality, venues like this should maybe disallow phones and if anyone has one he should be ejected.
This was my favorite song by themua-cam.com/video/RbMJ19m8zJE/v-deo.htmlsi=FMLbQG6Kya6EVnaW
Don't you just love watching Bonio strutting around like a talentless pole dancer?
Quite the moves indeed
I love U2, I feel for Larry... If I'd never seen them before and had to see them without him I would BUT I've seen them twice. Hopefully he comes back.
We're all hopeful he joins the residency. 🤞🤞
whats going on with Larry what does he do ??
@@barbpitre6638 Larry is the founding drummer for U2. Apparently he's having some health issues I heard related to a shoulder. Opening night of this residency was the first time in 45 years he had not played a show with.
They made a choice for a Dutch drummer
